chubby cheeks and middle fingers

This is me… posting on my blog… a mere week after my last post. I didn’t quite live up to my lofty goal of posting twice in a week, but I will get there eventually. I will.

What better way to follow up a post of sexy boudoir photos than one of cute, innocent, little babies?

First is Jack. You may remember Jack from way back when (i.e. three posts ago). At six months, Jack has gotten so unbelievably chubby cute. (Seriously… look at those cheeks! I just want to squeeze ‘em! I love Jack!)

And now we have the twins, Luke and Miles. They were born the day before my inaugural blog post in March. Here they are at about one month. They were remarkably calm and well-behaved during our photo shoot. Miles may have become a little displeased by all the posing for pictures (see photo 3), but I don’t blame him. It’s hard work being that adorable.

That’s all the photos I have for you today. I’m still behind by about four photo shoots, so I have lots more headed your way next week.
On Friday, I’m flying up to Colorado for a “girls’ weekend” with five of my good friends. This group of girls made the same trip to Colorado (Breckenridge, to be specific) exactly 10 years ago when we were graduating high school. I can’t believe it’s been TEN YEARS!

Thanks so much to all of you who left comments on my blog last week! They made me smile and gave me the encouragement I needed to post again!

xoxo,
Adrienne

babies galore

For my inaugural blog post, I would like to share some of my favorite images from recent baby sessions with you, my loyal readers (I’m fairly certain you are loyal readers, you just don’t know it yet). Over the past few months, I have had the honor of photographing quite a few ADORABLE babies in the Austin area. One thing you will notice about the photos is that 80% of these aforementioned adorable babies are boys. Is it just a coincidence that 10 of the 12 new babies in my circle of friends are male? It seemed a little fishy to me, so I did some research and learned that the ratio of male to female births in the US is actually 1.05 to 1. (In other words, for every 100 female births, there are approximately 105 males births.) I know it’s true, because the CIA says so. What do you think? Have you seen an upswing in male births lately? Any hypotheses as to why?

Regardless of this oddity, I am thrilled by the opportunity to photograph so many beautiful babies and I can’t wait to meet the newest members of the boys’ club. (Our friends, Brendan & Elizabeth just had TWIN BOYS, Luke & Miles!)

And now on to the photos…

First is Colton, who was about seven months old in these photos. He was born 1 week after our wedding, so I will always be able to keep track of his birthday. (Major props to Colton’s mom who attended our wedding while nine months pregnant.) He is such a charmer!

Next is Jack, who I photographed when he was about two weeks old. He has grown up so much since then and I can’t wait to take his six-month photos in April! (P.S. Jack also “attended” our wedding a few months before he was born.)

Now, for Georgia… The lone girl in a sea of boys. Isn’t she gorgeous?!? You may recognize Georgia as the front page star of adriennehuebner.com.

Next, is William (c/o Vanessa). Although he was still in utero here, he is now a very handsome three month old, who I plan to photograph very soon! (Shout out to Vanessa and Brandon, William’s very photogenic parents!) Oh man, I just realized that he was also “in attendance” at our wedding… If all of our friends were pregnant, why was our bar bill so high?

Finally, we have Ryan, who turned one month old yesterday. (This brings up a question that has been burning a hole in my mind for quite some time. What exactly is “one month” when it comes to a baby’s age? Is it 30 days? 4 weeks? Or, does February 23rd to March 23rd count as a full month? If you know the answer, please share!) Anyway, I photographed Ryan and his parents on Sunday, and he could not have been more easygoing. He was content to be photographed for almost an hour and a half. What a trooper!

That’s it for today. Stay tuned for more photographs and randomness.
