1st Anniversary

One year ago today, I married the love of my life, Garrod Evan Huebner.  I can’t believe an entire year has gone by since our wedding.  It really seems like just yesterday I was walking down the aisle with my dad, getting annoyed by our very long-winded chaplain, dancing a choreographed first dance to “For Once In My Life” and having a blast with my friends, family, and new husband.  I can’t believe it’s been a year since I was Adrienne Fulton, the name I had for 28 years of my life.  (My mom still claims to be a little surprised every time she hears “Adrienne Huebner” on my voicemail, but I think I’ve finally got it down.)

To celebrate our anniversary, Garrod and I had brunch this morning at Green Pastures, the lovely place where we tied the knot on May 31st, 2008.  We ate way too much delicious food, drank some of their famous milk punch, and talked about where we see ourselves on our second anniversary a year from now (hopefully in a new house, a successful photography business, perhaps a baby on the way, and celebrating our anniversary somewhere exciting like Greece or Italy).  (Not that Green Pastures isn’t exciting… because, IT IS.)

Here we are at brunch this morning:

To Garrod:  Happy 1st Anniversary!  I love you so much and consider myself so blessed to have you in my life.  You are an amazing husband – so kind, loving, generous, and thoughtful.  You make me smile and laugh more than anyone.  I can’t wait to grow old and disgusting with you!  (Inside joke.)

For those of you who don’t tune into my blog to witness my cheesy love letters (sorry!), here are some photos of the uber cool and sweet Kate, who just graduated from Baylor University.  I’ve known Kate since she was a wee little one (her big sis, Sarah, is one of my best buds) and it blows my mind that she is a college graduate already!  Congratulations, Kate!

As you can tell, Kate’s a pretty tough biker chick:

That’s all for today.  Have a great week!

chubby cheeks and middle fingers

This is me… posting on my blog… a mere week after my last post. I didn’t quite live up to my lofty goal of posting twice in a week, but I will get there eventually. I will.

What better way to follow up a post of sexy boudoir photos than one of cute, innocent, little babies?

First is Jack. You may remember Jack from way back when (i.e. three posts ago). At six months, Jack has gotten so unbelievably chubby cute. (Seriously… look at those cheeks! I just want to squeeze ‘em! I love Jack!)

And now we have the twins, Luke and Miles. They were born the day before my inaugural blog post in March. Here they are at about one month. They were remarkably calm and well-behaved during our photo shoot. Miles may have become a little displeased by all the posing for pictures (see photo 3), but I don’t blame him. It’s hard work being that adorable.

That’s all the photos I have for you today. I’m still behind by about four photo shoots, so I have lots more headed your way next week.
On Friday, I’m flying up to Colorado for a “girls’ weekend” with five of my good friends. This group of girls made the same trip to Colorado (Breckenridge, to be specific) exactly 10 years ago when we were graduating high school. I can’t believe it’s been TEN YEARS!

Thanks so much to all of you who left comments on my blog last week! They made me smile and gave me the encouragement I needed to post again!

xoxo,
Adrienne

a long overdue post… now with boudoir! – Austin Boudoir Photography

For the past three weeks, I have had a serious case of blogger’s block. To those of you who check this site religiously for new content (hi Mom!), I apologize for the delay. Quite a bit has happened since my last post, but until now, I have not been inspired to write about it. I think part of my problem is that, in my head, the bar for a good blog post is set really high. This may be due to the fact that I follow the likes of Jasmine Star, who in addition to being a very talented photographer, is a gifted (and prolific) writer. Dang it, Jasmine! You have set the bar too high for the rest of us!

While taking a shower this morning (I do my best thinking in the shower), I decided that it’s infinitely better to post less-than-perfect blogs than to post nothing at all. So, today marks my renewed commitment to blogging. My posts may not be particularly witty, thought-provoking, or inspiring, but by golly, I’m going to post! On a regular basis! My goal is to post at least twice a week EVERY week.

By the way, I’m much more likely to blog if I know that people are reading this blog. If you’ve made it this far, I would be much obliged if you would leave me a comment. Comments make me happy. Ahhhh… Begging for comments really takes me back… Back to the days of my old xanga blog that I had circa 2003-2005. I shamelessly begged for comments and “e-props” in at least 25% of my posts. Apparently, I have not changed much since I was 23.

Ok, time to get to the photos. That’s why I have this blog, after all.

Some of you may be surprised to learn that I have started offering boudoir photography sessions. I was somewhat hesitant when first asked about it (because really… how could I possibly show someone how to be sexy?!?), but I decided to give it a shot and I’m SO glad I did. My first session was a blast, due in large part to my super cool client, E, whose photos are below. It also helped that we had an incredible venue in which to shoot, Aces Lounge (major thanks go to Brendan and Jason for hooking us up!).

I mean, really…Isn’t she GORGEOUS?!?

Oh man, I so need those shoes. So cute!

To my lovely client, E:  THANK YOU SO MUCH for letting me share some of your beautiful photos with my readers!  You rock!

If you know anyone who might be interested in having boudoir photos taken, please send them my way!

xoxo,
Adrienne
